AMAUROT.ORG

Domain

Why does Amaurot.org exist?

The idea of the Amaurot Network existed for a while now-- a main hub where i could list all my sites and projects. Originally, my first site, Feyradio.moe should fulfill that purpose, but the site turned more into a Graphics site, and I didn't want to change that.

Then Corefla.me came to be, and she strictly turned into a Fanlisting collective. This is why she was created in the first place; I missed doing fanlistings.

But now with both Coreflame and Feyradio exisiting, I knew I wanted a hub where I could use a domain that would not mainly link to a graphics site or a fanlisting site. I can't use either for something that is not linked to both, hence why I had decided to get myself a third domain.

That's how the AMAUROT Network came to be-- and the main domain would serve as the main hub of all.

The meaning behind the domain.

The word Amaurot stems originally from the game Final Fantasy XIV-- it is the final area in its expansion "Shadowbringers". The area and the whole expansion itself made me fall in love with the game more than it should have. The game itself has a whole emotional impact on me; I ended up playing it chronically the moment I was able to afford a monthly subscription. That was 2019. I've originally started playing it to stay close with my boyfriend at the time, as I've wanted to find a game we both could play together and enjoy.

Alas, the relationship ended in 2023, but my love for the game had never vanished, despite a few breaks due to other hyperfixations. I was still paying for the monthly subscription despite not playing for a month or even two. There has always been a "Oh, I could return anytime".

I digress.
For the main hub, I needed an URL; I've been thinking of a few, but coulnd't find anything that spoke out to me finally. One of them I wanted was Amphore.us, a domain based on Honkai: Star Rail and the main world in 3.0, but I wasn't very fond of the WHOIS-rule that US-domains have, so I have decided to not register it.
And while I was listening to some music, the Soundtrack Amaurot came up, and I thought "That's it". I checked if Amaurot.org was free, and when it was, I went and registered it. And here we are now.
